The SKYTERA FX.CARBON SL is the newest adjustable pole in the LEKI collection. Designed for thru-hikers and mountaineers tackling rugged and demanding terrain, the SKYTERA offers the flexibility of an adjustable-length pole. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber, each pole weighs only 6 ounces. It features a 14 mm upper section and 12 mm in diameter lower sections. The SKYTERA folds into three sections, each less than 16 inches long, making it easy to stow in your backpack when your hands need to be free for climbing or using ice tools. This pole also features the new minimalistic Vertical grip made from 1K foam, providing ergonomic performance in a low-profile package. The Verticon grip is angled at 8° to position the wrist in a more natural and comfortable way. Additionally, a striated foam extension below the grip offers ample real estate to hold the shaft when navigating undulating terrain. The SKYTERA is infinitely adjustable between 110 and 130 cm, enabling users to shorten the pole for steep climbs, which helps alleviate pressure on the legs. Conversely, extending the pole downhill provides extra security and support by increasing contact points with the ground from two to four. Where the landscape meets the sky, you'll find the SKYTERA.
